Vive La Fête in the Effenaar

This Friday I was a the Vive La Fête concert in the Effenaar (Eindhoven NL). I went with a couple of friends and we all had had a <insert many superlatives> concert. Vive La Fête are absolutely great. I thought so before, but after seeing them live I feel this way even stronger. If you don’t all ready know them, go listen to them today!

Vive La Fête, Danny playing the Jack

One absolute height was when Danny threw his guitar into the audience and started to play the Jack-plug. If you don’t know what that encompasses: He took the plug that normally connects his guitar to the amp. You ever heard a plop when hot plugging some amplifying device? That’s when the poles of the plug are short circuited. Well Danny took the plug by one pole in his left hand then started short circuiting it to the other pole with his right hand and creating different cool sounds by using the varying conductivity of his hand!

That was just one of the many heights of the show. So just go and attend a Vive La Fête concert! (no I’m not payed by them in any way, the opposite actually!) Oh and if you’re not in the Benelux this is a good excuse I’d say…
